Oscarbaiting, Live at QUAD: Our Next Live Show!

Join Verbal Discharge in glorious cinemascope as they celebrate the best and worst of Hollywood’s annual orgy of self-congratulation!

On Wednesday February 22nd, Verbal Discharge shall attempt to make our mark on Oscar season, live from the QUAD Digital Suite! That’s right, our next live show is coming from the arts hub that is Derby QUAD itself, just nights before the stars of the silver screen sit in a room and pretend to look happy for their colleague, like you did when Amy from work told you she was pregnant!

The Discharge team shall tackle this year’s crop of nominees. They’ll honour the winners and losers of years gone by. And they’ll establish their own new awards show. All this before unveiling their own earth-shattering cinematic masterpieces, in the hunt for the most prestigious of film prizes: The Palme d’Stath!

We’re not Lion, come Hell or High Water, we’ll be doing the show, so we’ll see you at QUAD. Hopefully the show won’t finish too late, so you don’t become Nocturnal Animals walking through the Moonlight. Don’t be one of those Hidden Figures sitting in Silence, let us know if you’re looking forward to the show in the comments below, whether you’re Loving the idea, sitting on the Fences or the thought makes you stick your fingers in your ears and go La La (Land). We look forward to your Arrival at the show!

Live from the QUAD Digital Suite // Doors 7:30, Show starts 8:00 // Tickets £5
